About the trip
They are especially abundant on the steep slopes and in the forests of Pyrenean South face
The chamois is not easily approachable which makes it so popular amongst hunters who enjoy stalk hunting and mountain hunting
The Pyrenean Chamois (male & female) hunting season opens beginning of October, just before the mating season begins. The males come out of hiding at this time of the year and are more likely to venture out into open spaces
The rutting period begins the first week of November. The males mark their territory and bear less and less the presence of other males. It’s definitely the most interesting period for hunters as they can witness these unusual animal behaviors
This is a great opportunity to discover or rediscover mountain hunting
